From the beginning, the purpose of this church has been to give our Lord Jesus the glory due His name.
1 Chronicles 16:28-29 (NIV)
28 Ascribe to the LORD, O families of nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength,
29 ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name. Bring an offering and come before him; worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.
And to minister God's word for the equipping of the saints.
Ephesians 4:11-13 (NIV)
11 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers,
12 to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up
13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV)
16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
This has been our goal since our first day at the Hilton(Oct. 7, 2001). My work, as a pastor, is to have people trust in the One who died for them and not to trust in me.
1 Peter 2:6 (NIV)
6 For in Scripture it says: "See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame."
Note: There is another group meeting in the Hilton at the same time so, please, make sure you look for ANCF. We're usually up the stairs on the "M" floor.
Blessings in Christ,
Pastor Curtis Foley
